Good socks are essential if you have to rely on your feet. Whether it be to defy cold temperatures while wading in winter, to prevent blistering during long hikes or simply to make the wading even more comfortable inside;) How important good socks are unfortunately usually only becomes apparent when it is too late is and that should be avoided on longer trips.
The Wader Socks Midweight by Orvis serve exactly this purpose. Thanks to the processing of merino wool, nylon and Spendex to a gently entangled rib, the socks are particularly comfortable and skin-friendly. The merino content of 62% ensures good thermal performance and excellent breathability. As a result, the socks dry very quickly and remain odorless for a long time. To protect against blisters, the sole is reinforced at the pressure points. Thanks to 1x1 ribbing on the surface, the sock gives a feeling of lightness while the verses have been reinforced with extra nylon. The Lycra portion gives the socks the appropriate elasticity and better fit on each foot.
Especially suitable for fishing on not too cold days and for medium-long walks or walking in lighter hiking or wading shoes. When wet wading (for example, in New Zealand or in tropical climes), these socks can also be wonderfully worn under a neoprene Grave Guard.
The midweight socks are about 20% lighter than the slightly thicker Orvis Waders Socks Heavyweight with increased merino content.
